Dear John
The story is about a man, named John. John is a soldier, and he lives with his dad, and he loves to surf, because that brings him comfort. His dad is a little bit crazy. John and his dad, are collecting coins, and has a lot of them.
One day, John was looking out over the water, there was 4 people talking on the same bridge. 2 girls, and 2 girls, but suddenly one of girls bag went down in the water, because one of the boys, was pushing to it. John saw it, and jumped down in the water, and got the bag. The girl, was running down to the water, and was ready to say thanks to John, when he got up. She was very grateful and they were talking very much for some days. And two weeks later, they were together. There relationship was a little bit difficult. Savanna, likes John's dad, but she could see that he was a little bit weird, and told john it, John went mad, and was walking away from her. Some of her friends tried to stop John, but that was a stupid idea, and john was fighting with some boys. One day John bought an ice cream, and he got a very expensive and special coin. That coin was so much worth, so they just kept it safe, and from that day, his dad collected coins. He collected it so much, that one day John went very, very angry, and said that he always would talk about shitty coins, and that made his dad sad, but he couldn’t not do anything.
After some weeks John should work again in the military. They were writing day in, and day out, but one day, it was over, Savannah had found someone else. John went mad, and traveled home to talk with her. Some days after, his dad went sick, and was about to die. John, read the letter to his dad, and they were both crying, and a little bit after, his dad was gone.

Movie review for “Dear John”
Dear John

They have two weeks to spend together and they fall in love amazingly fast. John is the tough type who has nothing left over for those who have previously been something of a mess.
Savannah´s figure recalls Mother Terasa, she is a nice girl who could not dream of bad behavior, she builds houses for people in need, and she is also taking care of an autistic boy.
Savannah has to go back to study, and John is going back to the army, they then begin to write together. Every week they write a letter to each other and send it to each other as a way to maintain contact and keep the love alive. But something terrible happens - 9 / 11 - and suddenly the whole world looks quite different.
John decides without hesitation, to stay in Afghanistan, even though Savannah doesn’t like it. Now the two young people are forced to love over distance.

That may sound like a great movie for teenage girls who loved romance. It is probably too, but for all others it is an extremely tedious and lengthy movie. The movie drags out, and the only reason that the film gets over one and half hours is because of all the letters you need to listen to.
Amanda Seyfreid is stable in the role of Savannah, which is more than you can say about Matthew Tatum. His facial expression is virtually nonexistent. Richard Jenkins is without question the film's bright spot as John's autistic father and good acting from his part.
