Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Michelle Seyfried was born in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania on December 3, 1985. She began her career as a child model when she was 11 and when she was 15 she began her career as an actress. In 2004 she made her film debut in Mean Girls but the role of Sophie Sheridan in the 2008 musical feature film Mamma Mia! made her really famous.

Mamma Mia! was Seyfried's first leading role. The film was the fifth highest grossing film of 2008 and, as of March 2010, is the 49th highest grossing film of all time. Her musical performance in Mamma Mia! was released on the film's soundtrack, for which she recorded five songs.

Amanda Seyfried has been ranked six times in six consecutive years on the list of "The Annual Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Famous Faces From Around the World".

My opinion of Amanda Seyfried as an actress is very good. I have seen her in 4 movies: Mean Girls, Mamma Mia!, Dear John and also in Letters to Juliet. In all of these movies she had a big role and I think she managed to make the movies better than they would have been without her. What I like the most about her is the charm and the simplicity of her roles, she carries out every single role so well that people start to believe that the character really exists. Amanda Seyfried has shown herself from very different sides and that is always a good thing about an actor or an actress. The characters that she has played are a bit similar but still so different from each other and I think that when somebody can make his or her characters differ from each other as much as Amanda Seyfried does, then people will never get bored by seeing him or her on the screen again. Also, her good looks and incredible singing voice should not be forgotten . I may consider her as one of my favourite actresses and I believe that so do very many other people in the world.
